Our vacation week turned out to be very eventful. I had found a great deal on craigslist to rent a cabin in Lake Delavan, WI for the week. It was very affordable and it looked nice from the pictures! We packed the Jeep up, brought everything under the sun and drove the 1.5 hours to get to WI. We walked into the house and it was a little dirty to say the least. It had been re-done, but the bathrooms were dirty, the floors had dust and dirt on them and it was icky. Nothing that we had expected! Dave had gone to the store to get food and cleaning supplies for the week. We decided that we were going to clean it up a bit and just have fun! We went to bed and put Olivia in our room with the cradle, but she hated it and was talking and moving the entire night. I was so grossed out from the place that I woke up and told Dave--we are out of here in the morning. We packed up everything and re-packed the Jeep and drove home. It felt so good driving home and being home in our clean house! What an adventure! We decided to make our week at home memorable and fun--the weather was great in August and we took many family walks, took Olivia to the gulf course for dinner and ended the week with a "grandparent day" at Navy Pier. We had the nicest day and so enjoyable--the weather was spectacular and amazing! We had a great lunch at Riva and relaxed and spent the day walking the pier and enjoying the scenery and one another's company. We laughed about our Craigslist Vacation Rental, but ended up having the best stay-cation ever! Even Olivia started sleeping through the night that week! Yeah!
