Moving to Pepper Tree
We did it and finally closed on 118 E. Pepper Tree house on Friday, May 24th. The closing went off without a hitch and it was great! We decided to hire house cleaners for a deep clean of the house, painted three rooms and just tried to get organized before the movers on Saturday! The house was in good shape and we also got the kitchen put together and thanks to Linda it looks great!
Saturday the movers came at about 9am and it was great. I was able to run a couple errands and so was Dave, not to mention we didn't have to kill ourselves on Saturday. Don't get me wrong it still is exhausting, but it worked out well. The only hiccup was that they could not get our bedroom furniture pieces upstairs. We'lll that was the least of our worries. We decided to plunge ahead and it turned out great! Sunday we finished up a few things and I went to pick up Olivia. It was a lot of fun for her to come to the house, see the sun room and hang out! It was great for her to see her new green and pink room. She loved it and had a lot toys in her room.
Monday we headed to look for a couch and found one that we loved at Value City--a pretty charcoal grey sectional--very comfy and nice!
All in all it's coming together so nice! We are in love with the neighborhood and all of the neighbors are super nice. We got cookies and champagne from two different neighbors! We can't wait to spend our time in Palatine! Who says you can't go home, right?
